Our Soldier is named after Bob Pelham who served as a Captain in the British Army during the 2nd World War, and was the founder of the original Pelham Puppets Company. ‘Capt. Bob' serves to commemorate not only Bob Pelham's vision to bring colour and fun to children’s lives in the post war years, but to celebrate the work that SSAFA continues to deliver in this, their 125th Anniversary.
